Natural products and Pain: The Search for Novel Nonopioid Analgesics

Discussion will focus on how to identify promising leads based on traditional medicine; discover and identify active natural products; and characterize the mechanisms through which they act. The workshop is chaired by David Julius, Ph.D., professor and chair of the physiology department at the University of California-San Francisco School of Medicine.
