Smoking in a tertiary hospital
Conclusion: The prevalence of smoking in a tertiary hospital is high, being similar to that of the general population. There are units where smoking has special relevance and it would be important to intensify tertiary prevention actions at this level. Despite anti-smoking policies in hospitals, declared smoke-free, there is a percentage of patients who continue to smoke during hospitalization.
