Glucocorticosteroid therapy as predisposing factor for pulmonary sarcoidosis relapse
Conclusion: CS therapy is a risk factor for sarcoidosis relapse. Therefore, despite their high efficacy, corticosteroids are recommended in asymptomatic patients only in cases of progressive disease or lack of improvement after 3 months follow-up period.
