Conclusions: RV vaccination using RotaTeq did not alter the occurrence of DM1 but decreased the prevalence of CD in childhood and adolescence. We propose that wild-type RV may trigger CD and the triggering effect can be prevented or reduced by RV vaccination.

ConclusionUnmasking of conditions at vaccination visits is a plausible explanation for the increased risk associated with qHPV in this study because coeliac disease is underdiagnosed in Scandinavian populations. In conclusion, our study of serious adverse event rates in qHPV‐vaccinated and qHPV‐unvaccinated adult women 18–44 years of age did not raise any safety issues of concern.

We read with a great interest the recent article by Mormile R, speculating that a blunted antibody response to HBV vaccine might be a potential predictor of autoimmunity during lifetime. Several studies described a reduced antibody protection provided by HBV vaccine in children affected with different autoimmune diseases, including type I diabetes mellitus, celiac disease and idiopathic juvenile arthritis.[1] However, the immune-pathological relationship is supposed to be quite complex and it is still impossible to distinguish between the cause and the effect.
