Medical Student Grants Targeting Melanoma and Skin Cancer The deadline for receipt of applications is extended to November 1, 2014. Amount: $7,000 (renewable for one year) American Skin Association (ASA) invites grant applications from medical students working actively in the areas of melanoma and skin cancer. A second year of funding may be requested upon receipt and review of a final progress report and re-application. If an awardee receives a career development award or other comparable research award from the NIH, the Dermatology Foundation, or similar organization, he or she must choose between it and this research award. Eligibility: Applicants must be working actively in areas related to dermatology. Funds may be used for support of a new or ongoing research/clinical investigation project. There is no age requirement.
