Seroprevalence of Hantavirus infection in residents individuals of municipalities of Amazonas state

Background: Hantavirus is responsible for potentially deadly emerging disease in humans and have rodents as natural reservoirs. The human disease may be mainly exhibited as haemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome, which is prevalent in Europe and Asia, or cardiopulmonary syndrome, with significant morbidity and mortality and which is prevalent in America. Despite being endemic in the Amazon region, there are few reported cases and little epidemiological data.
