Jun 13, John E. Anderson: Today in the History of Psychology (13th June 1893)

John E. Anderson was born. A pioneer in the field of developmental child psychology, Anderson launched an extensive and influential program of teaching, research and parental education at the University of Minnesota. In a long and distinguished academic career, Anderson served as president of the American Psychological Association in 1943 and was a member of the White House Conferences on Children; during which time he co-produced 'The Young Child in the Home,' the first comprehensive study of child rearing practices in the United States.
