Complete remission of nephrotic syndrome secondary to amyloid a amyloidosis in patient with inactive Crohn's disease after treatment by infliximab.

We present a case of a 34-year-old female patient with CD treated by azathioprine with inactive disease for three years and who developed a nephrotic syndrome secondary to AA amyloidosis. The treatment by infliximab for one year leads to a complete remission of the nephrotic syndrome. In this case, this complication occurred while the patient was clinically well, with biological and endoscopic markers showing an inactive or only mildly active disease. Infliximab could be a useful tool for a successful treatment of amyloidosis secondary to CD. PMID: 29657220 [PubMed - in process]

Conclusions: Between 2007 and 2010, endoscopic monitoring of patients within the first year after CD-related surgery was less than adequate based on current standards, but showed improvement. Medication changes were in general agreement with current guideline recommendations. This work was presented as a poster (number P686) by M. This study aimed to analyze the primary stability of dental implant in maxillary and mandibular anterior and posterior regions using a finite element analysis.Materials and methodsCBCT images of maxillary and mandibular regions were collected from patients’ radiographic data and transformed to 3D models. A Straumann Dental implant was inserted in each bone model and then pulled-out, where amount von-Mises stress was obtained and analyzed for each. A comparison between the insertion and the pull-out was evaluated.ResultsTwenty-four images were randomly selected for analysis from 122 scans. In both the insertion and th...
