Breast Cancer Survivors' Perceptions of the Delivery of Lymphedema Education in the United States
Conclusion:
From the study sample, there are variations in the information provided, including the source of its delivery, time frame of delivery, and the value perceived by the patient. The data suggest that physical therapists are underutilized as a primary resource for education delivery despite being perceived as a valuable information source. Physical therapists should advocate for their role in the educational process as well as for standardization of information delivery for optimal patient care.
