Procarboxypeptidase U (proCPU, TAFI, proCPB2) in cerebrospinal fluid during ischemic stroke is associated with stroke progression, outcome and blood-brain barrier dysfunction.
CONCLUSIONS: ProCPU is increased in CSF during hyperacute ischemic stroke and are associated with stroke progression and outcome after 3 months, most likely due to BBB dysfunction in the hyperacute phase of ischemic stroke. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
