CONCLUSIONS: Patients with diabetes mellitus were vulnerable to hemorrhagic transformation, whereas those who underwent several attempts of thrombectomy were susceptible to isolated subarachnoid hemorrhage. Both hemorrhage types worsened the functional outcome. Treatment with the stent retriever was significantly associated with postprocedural isolated subarachnoid hemorrhage. CONCLUSIONS: Through a systematic MR screen of the circulating proteome, causal roles for five established and two novel biomarkers for ischemic stroke were identified. Side-effect profiles were characterized to help inform drug target prioritization. Conclusions CTPCAAs are characterized by young age at presentation, male predominance, proximal location on PCA, and tendency to cause PCA occlusion.
