PULMONARY HYPERTENSION (PH) is a condition characterized by a mean pulmonary arterial pressure ≥25 mmHg. PH is defined “pre-capillary” when the pulmonary capillary pressure is3 Wood units. The 2015 European Society of Cardiology/European Respiratory Society (ESC/ERS) guidelines classify PH into 5 groups on the basis of clinical, pathophysiologic, and anatomic criteria.
