(University of Washington Health Sciences/UW Medicine) People who cook at home more often, rather than eating out, tend to have healthier overall diets without higher food expenses. Lack of time often prevents people from preparing their own nutritious meals. People with larger households and more children were more likely to cook at home. Income and education did not influence who was more likely to eat fast food.
