Comments on “Impact of lifestyle interventions on depressive symptoms in individuals at-risk of, or with, type 2 diabetes mellitus: Clinical importance of lifestyle interventions”

We were interested to read the paper by Cezaretto A and colleagues published in Nutr Metab Cardiovasc Dis in Apr 2016 [1]. The authors aimed to evaluate the influence of lifestyle interventions on depressive symptoms scores in individuals at risk of or with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). They found that totally standardized mean difference (95% CI) in depression scores between control and intervention groups was −0.165 (−0.265, −0.064) and when limited to individuals with T2DM it was −0.202 (−0.288, −0.079) [1].
