Call for Proposals: American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation 2014 New Investigators Research Grant Deadline for receipt of proposals: May 1, 2014 The American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation (ASHFoundation) invites new researchers to submit proposals in competition for up to ten research grants of $10,000 each. The New Investigators Research Grant competition is designed to help further new investigators' research activities that have particular clinical relevance to audiology and/or speech-language pathology. Proposals, while not limited in topic, are encouraged in the area of treatment efficacy and outcome studies. All research grant recipients will be announced and recognized at the November 2014 ASHA Convention in Orlando, Florida. Interested individuals should carefully read the section on eligibility, and having determined that all criteria are met, prepare a proposal for submission. 2014 New Investigators Research Grant: Eligibility The following criteria must be met in order to be eligible for the New Investigators Research Grant. The investigator must have completed a PhD or equivalent research doctorate within the past five years (since 2009). Note: Due to the availability of other student research grant and scholarship funds through the ASHFoundation, students currently enrolled in a degree program are not eligible for this award.
