American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society 2014 Young Investigator Forum Deadline for application: April 11, 2014 (by midnight EST) Travel awards provided The 2014 Young Investigator Forum (YIF) will be held in conjunction with the 2014 ANMS Clinical Course and will be comprised of a one and a half a day program for up to 15 participants who will be chosen through a competitive abstract submission process. Candidates for participation will be current gastroenterology students, trainees, or junior faculty with neurogastroenterology research interests. Selected participants will be invited to share a brief oral presentation from the submitted abstract. It is suggested that participants bring questions and discussion pertinent to research in neurogastroenterology. Participants are encouraged to bring a grant proposal or future research aims for discussion and faculty input, but this is optional. The Forum's objectives are: To provide a unique opportunity for one-on-one mentoring of young investigators (trainees/junior faculty) who are pursuing an academic career in neurogastroenterology and gastrointestinal motility disorders; To promote interaction of participants with established ANMS investigators by engaging in small group discussions, and participation in discussions on core academic topics (with a particular emphasis on academic and research success, and competitive grant submissions); To enhance academic portfolio and provide addit...
