CDC Announces 2014 Adult Immunization Schedule

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices has announced its recommended adult immunization schedule for 2014. Among the key changes to the schedule for 2014 include revised notes on administering vaccines for flu; tetanus, diphtheria, and accellular pertussis; human papillomavirus (HPV); zoster virus; pneumococcal disease and meningococcal disease. CDC’s easy-to-read immunization schedules are available for health care professionals and the public. Schedules are available for infants and children (birth through 6 years old), preteens and teens (7 through 18 years old), and adults (19 years and older).
