ConclusionPatients with pacemaker systems undergoing catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter demonstrate an increased risk of death, cardiovascular events, and re-hospitalization. This observation can be largely attributed to an older patient population and an increased rate of comorbidities.
