Role of Traditional Cardiac Biomarkers in Donation After Circulatory Death Heart Transplantation

Purpose: Cardiac allografts recovered after circulatory death (DCD) presumably sustain a myocardial injury during the obligatory warm ischemia phase that is currently difficult to characterize. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether traditional cardiac biomarkers in DCD donation are representative of reversible or irreversible myocardial damage.
