Purpose: Lung ischemia reperfusion injury (IRI) is a major cause of primary graft dysfunction after lung transplantation lacking effective treatment. Ferroptosis is a new type of cell death which is driven by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation. However, whether it is involved in lung IRI remains poorly understood.
