Heart Allograft Recovery Using Temperature-Controlled Cold Storage is Associated with Decreased Myocardial Injury
Purpose: Observational cohort studies suggest a lower incidence of severe primary graft dysfunction (PGD) following temperature-controlled preservation. Whether this novel cold storage platform attenuates ischemia-reperfusion myocardial injury, as quantified by cardiac enzymes, remains unknown.
