Isolated Right Heart Stress-Induced Cardiomyopathy After Lung Transplant
Introduction: Stress-induced, or Takotsubo, cardiomyopathy (SIC) is a syndrome of rapid and severe regional systolic dysfunction in the left ventricle (LV), and in 10% of cases, simultaneous involvement of the right ventricle (RV). Recognizing SIC in patients with risk factors of extreme physical stress is crucial to reducing in-hospital mortality. Our case details an isolated RV SIC after a lung transplant.
