The Efficacy of Modified Frailty Scoring System for Korean Lung Transplant Patients to Predict Post-Transplant Outcomes

Purpose: Despite comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment to determine appropriate candidates for transplantation, limitations in identifying candidates with possible adverse events have remained. Frailty scoring systems, suggested by multiple programs, may help determine the at-risk candidates. Unfortunately, Korean patients waiting for lung transplantation have no proper scoring system. Therefore, in this study, we modified the pre-existing scoring system to develop the frailty scoring system for Korean lung transplant patients and evaluate its efficacy and associations with post-transplant outcomes.
