Thoracic skeletal muscle mass predicts mortality in patients with surgery for pleural empyema: A case control study

CONCLUSIONS: TSMI was a significant prognostic risk factor for postoperative mortality in patients with pleural empyema. TSMI may be suitable for risk stratification in this disease with high morbidity and mortality, which may have further implications for the selection of the best treatment strategy.PMID:38597111 | DOI:10.1111/1759-7714.15307
