Long-term cardiovascular protection by normotensive placental extracellular vesicles

I congratulate Feng et  al1 for their experimental study entitled “Normotensive placental extracellular vesicles provide long-term protection against hypertension and cardiovascular disease,” published in the American Journal of Obstetrics& Gynecology. Indeed, their animal model allowed them to provide new and intriguing experimental evidence for the possible role of extracellular vesicles in maternal cardiovascular adaptations to the pregnant state and very innovative insight for new hypertension treatment.
