HFSA at the 10th Anniversary Meeting of the Heart Failure Association of India – New Partnerships and Opportunities Overseas

This past February two landmarks were celebrated in cardiovascular medicine. In the United States, we commemorated the 60th year that Heart Month has been observed, while across the globe in India, the Heart Failure Association of India (HFAI) celebrated its 10th anniversary. The HFAI is comprised of experienced physicians and nurses spanning the entire Indian subcontinent where 10 million people are (under)estimated to live with heart failure1. The collective HFAI mission is to reduce HF-related mortality through the building of optimal medical therapy clinics, raising awareness among general physicians, training nursing specialists, and lobbying to make the pillars of guideline directed medical therapy readily available.
