Comment on “Subclinical myocardial injury increases the risk of heart failure in patients with and without type 2 diabetes post-acute coronary syndrome”

In this study, 50 acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients who underwent revascularization were prospectively enrolled, and the univariate analysis was used for the evaluation of the effect of subclinical myocardial injury (sMi) on heart failure risk after ACS. They found and concluded that the sMi increased the risk of heart failure after ACS, irrespective of diabetes status. However, we raise some statistical concerns which could change the conclusion of this study.
