Characterizing the impact of thermoregulation in patients after cardiac arrest: a retrospective cohort study
CONCLUSION: In this single-centre retrospective cohort study, low spontaneous core body temperature was associated with poor outcomes in patients after cardiac arrest. Patients with low spontaneous body temperature also exhibited features suggestive of impaired thermoregulation. Further research is needed to determine whether body temperature upon presentation reflects the robustness of the patient's underlying physiology and severity of brain insult after a cardiac arrest.PMID:38514524 | DOI:10.1007/s12630-024-02737-x
