The Quantitative Impact of Warfarin Versus Factor Xa Inhibitors on Anticoagulation Profiles in Patients With Peripheral Artery Disease Post-Revascularization
Anticoagulants are a mainstay of thromboembolic prevention in patients with cardiovascular disease, including peripheral artery disease (PAD). Newer factor Xa inhibitors are now being widely used in place of warfarin. There is a paucity of data regarding the impact of type of anticoagulant on coagulation parameters. The aim of this study was to quantify differences in coagulation parameters in patients taking warfarin versus factor Xa inhibitors.
