Aging-associated changes of optical coherence tomography-measured ganglion cell-related retinal layer thickness and visual sensitivity in normal Japanese

ConclusionWe report that aging-associated change rates of cpRNFLT, MGCIPLT and MGCCT in normal Japanese eyes were found to be significantly accelerated along with aging. Relationship between VF sensitivity decline rates and SD-OCT measured GCIPLT decline rates during physiological aging in the corresponding parafoveal retinal areas are also documented.
