Survey of European Blood and Marrow Transplant (EBMT) nurses to explore the current topical skin management of chronic cutaneous graft versus host disease in the real-world clinical environment

CONCLUSIONS: Topical treatment is the backbone of any treatment paradigm for chronic cutaneous graft versus host disease, however, there is no universally agreed algorithm. Improved skin care may lead to a reduction in the amount of systemic therapy required, thus increasing patients' quality of life. There is little standardisation in the topical management of chronic cutaneous graft versus host disease, despite skin being the most cited organ affected by chronic graft versus host disease, this should be addressed.PMID:38467081 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejon.2024.102547
