Uveitis Risk After the First Dose of COVID-19 Vaccination Based on Uveitis History: Matched Cohort and Crossover Case Series Study

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a highly contagious infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has prompted a global effort to rapidly develop effective vaccines. Vaccination against COVID-19 reportedly reduces the risk of developing COVID-19 and decreases the associated mortality and morbidity.1-5 As of August 2023, 66.1% of the world's population has received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose, with 87.5% of the population of the Republic of Korea (approximately 44.7 million individuals) having received at least one dose.
