Photon-counting Detector CT-based Calcium Removal Algorithm: Impact On Stenosis Grading And CT-FFR Values
Introduction: CT based fractional flow reserve (CT-FFR) measurement provides a non-invasive hemodynamic analysis of coronaries based on computational fluid dynamics. Blooming artifacts from heavily calcified plaques however could lead to inaccurate lumen detection and consequently altered stenosis grading and CT-FFR assessment. In the current preliminary study, we aimed to examine the effect of a calcium removal algorithm on coronary stenosis grading and CT-FFR values compared to measurements based on standard image reconstruction.
