A comprehensive meta-analysis of risk factors associated with osteosarcopenic obesity: a closer look at gender, lifestyle and comorbidities
ConclusionsOur study underscored the substantial role of female gender, physical inactivity, and hypertension in the development of OSO, whilst suggesting a strong link between OSO and frailty. These findings emphasize the importance of early risk factor identification and targeted interventions in these groups. Further research is warranted to decode the complex pathophysiological interplay and devise effective prevention and management strategies.
