A Paradoxical Relationship Between Hemodynamic Markers Of Right Ventricular Function And Outcomes In Patients Undergoing Lung Transplantation With Pulmonary Hypertension
Lung transplantation is the therapy of choice for end-stage lung disease, and right heart catheterization (RHC) is routinely done for risk stratification prior to lung transplant. Limited data exists on the hemodynamic signatures from RHC by disease etiology in these patients, particularly if hemodynamic markers of right ventricular (RV) function are associated with clinical outcomes. We sought to define hemodynamics and clinical characteristics of patients undergoing lung transplantation at a large tertiary academic center in South Texas.
