According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), it was estimated that 17.9 million individuals died of cardiovascular disease(s) in 2019, with mortality concentrated in low- and middle-income countries.1 Heart failure (HF) remains one of the main causes of hospitalization and contributes to cardiac, pulmonary, and skeletal abnormalities that lead to exercise intolerance, reduced functional capacity and quality of life, and increased mortality.2,3 Cardiac rehabilitation (CR) positively affects outcomes in patients with HF.
