24. Sarcomas presenting as epithelial neoplasia in the head and neck - a case series
Head and neck sarcomas are rare, accounting for approximately 2% of all head and neck malignancies. They are difficult to diagnose and treat requiring specialist multidisciplinary teams and, often, molecular diagnostics. Presentation can mimic carcinoma in the head and neck with potential for wrong diagnosis and risk of inappropriate surgery.
