Rationale: Omega-3 PUFAs are recognized for triglyceride-lowering effects. Hypertryglyceridemia (HTG) is a complication associated with the administration of intravenous lipid emulsions (IVLE). Objective: Determine the effect of fish oil (FO) based IVLE on plasma lipoprotein subfractions in patients treated with total PN.
