Anesthetic management for emergency cesarean section in a patient with Townes-Brocks Syndrome
Townes –Brocks syndrome (TBS) is a rare genetic disorder with a prevalence of 1:250 000.[1] This condition, associated with a mutation in the SALL1 gene, is characterized by a triad of imperforate anus, dysplastic ears, and thumb malformations. However, TBS often presents with a broader range of clinical manifestations including hearing impairment, genito-urinary, heart and foot malformations, cleft lip/palate, hemifacial microsomia, iris coloboma, Duane anomaly, and Arnold-Chiari malformation type 1.
