Effect of dietary diversity on incident of disability in community-dwelling older adults with sarcopenia: A 40-month follow-up longitudinal study
Population aging is a critical issue worldwide [1]. The Japanese have entered the era of super-aging and advanced health transition, which is increasingly putting pressure on the sustainability of its health system [2]. In 2012, the cost of Japan's long-term care insurance (LTCI) system, which is the cost of supporting persons with disabilities, was approximately US$880 billion and is expected to double by 2025 [3]. Therefore, prevention of functional disability is an important issue for public health in Japan and other counties.
