It was with great interest that we read the Letter to the Editor from Popivanov et al., which comments on our manuscript, entitled “Earlier surgery is associated to reduced postoperative morbidity in ileocaecal Crohn's disease: results from SURGICROHN – LATAM study,” previously published in Digestive and Liver Disease Journal [1,2].
