Pulse wave analysis as a tool for the evaluation of resuscitation therapy in septic shock

Conclusion. Even when used alone, PWA indices were highly informative when assessing therapy responses in cases of septic shock. Significance. A complex pathological condition like septic shock requires extensive monitoring without neglecting important information from commonly measured signals such as arterial blood pressure. Future studies are needed to understand how individual differences in the response to therapy are associated with different cardiovascular conditions that may become specific therapy targets.
