Association Between Poor Sleep and Myocardial Infarction in Patients with Psoriasis: Findings from a Cross-Sectional Study with the National Psoriasis Foundation

ConclusionOur analyses indicate an association between sleep quantity and history of myocardial infarction in patients with psoriasis. For each hour increase in average nightly sleep, patients with psoriasis have a 33% decrease in the odds of having a history of myocardial infarction. The chief limitation of this study is its cross-sectional design limiting ascertainment of causality.
