Evaluating the characteristics of myocardial work by two-dimensional echocardiography during pre-eclampsia pregnancy

In conclusion, during the PE pregnancy, GWI, GCW and GWW increase, while GWW elevates more than GCW, which leads to the decrease in GWE. Moreover, the changes in MyW are associated with the hypertension grades and the poor prognosis in PE. The non-invasive manner for MyW assessment provides a new perspective on the myocardial biomechanics, cardio-metabolic conditions and pathophysiological changes in the condition of PE.
