Retinal changes after fluocinolone acetonide implant (ILUVIEN ®) for DME: SD-OCT imaging assessment using ESASO classification
CONCLUSION: In persistent or recurrent DME, fluocinolone acetonide implantation can be effective in improving maculopathy stage and reducing the percentage of eyes with: intraretinal cysts; CFT > 30% above the upper normal value; and disrupted or absent EZ and/or ELM. It can also increase BCVA and reduce CFT.PMID:37475207 | DOI:10.1177/11206721231183471
