Assessment Of Ventricular Function In Patients With Congenital Heart Disease And Pacemakers: An Echocardiography And Cine Computed Tomography Agreement Study

Introduction: Patients with congenital heart disease (CHD) and permanent pacemakers or implantable cardioverter defibrillators (PPM/ICD) are at risk for the development of ventricular dysfunction. Echocardiography can be challenging due to poor acoustic windows, artifact, or abnormal ventricular morphology. Cine cardiovascular computed tomography (CCT) is increasingly performed to assess ventricular function, but its agreement with other imaging modalities in this population is unknown. We sought to study the agreement between echocardiography and cine CCT in ventricular function assessment in patients with CHD and PPM/ICD.
