Investigating Cardiac Arrhythmias among Patients With Williams Syndrome in the United States: An Analysis Using the 2016 to 2020 National Inpatient Sample
The recent study by Deitch et al1 found various cardiac conduction abnormalities in 74 patients with Williams syndrome at their center. We proceeded to provide additional data from the 2016 to 2020 National Inpatient Sample, a set of yearly deidentified hospitalization records, through the Health Care Utilization Project, along with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and nationwide partners.2 We used the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Clinical Modification code “Q93.82” to identify patients with Williams syndrome during that period.
