PE, or not PE, that is the question: the case of overlooked Lyso-N-acyl-phosphatidylethanolamines

CONCLUSIONS: Overall, our methodology demonstrates to be a robust approach to recognising L-NAPE in complex samples. L-NAPE 18:2-N-18:2, 18:2-N-18:3, 18:3-N-18:2, and 18:2-N-18:1 were the prevailing compounds in the analyzed tomato samples, accounting for more than 90%. In summary, a reliable method for identifying L-NAPE in complex samples is described. The proposed method could prevent overlooking L-NAPE and overestimating isomeric PE species in future lipid analyses.PMID:37117037 | DOI:10.1002/rcm.9527
