Association Between Use of Angiotensin Receptor Blockers and Incidence of Epilepsy in Patients With Hypertension

To the Editor It is with great pleasure that we read the retrospective study by Doege et al, which found a reduced incidence of epilepsy in patients with hypertension receiving angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) compared with other antihypertensives. The risk was highest among patients receiving β-blockers and calcium channel blockers (CCBs).
