A Retrospective Study on Gender, LAA Morphology and Stroke Risk
This was a retrospective study to investigate whether gender and LAA size/morphology was a predictor of cerebral vascular events in patients undergoing cardiac surgery. We studied the LAA morphology, and measurements for women and men in an attempt to correlate the different morphologies/sizes with the patient's risk of stroke.
